Be Kind Onlineā„¢ (BKO) is a Positive Prevention Initiative for middle school students brought to you by Beyond Differences. It includes an original curriculum, a national awareness day and student leadership training. Be Kind Online teaches students how to be activists that work to combat social isolation online. National Be Kind Online Day is an in-school special event for students across the country, supported by lesson plans that focus on nurturing healthy relationships and behaviors online.

Be Kind Online supports students as they learn to be authentic and compassionate online. Students will be challenged to think about whether their online behaviors match their real-life personalities. Our three Positive Prevention Initiatives – No One Eats Alone, Know Your Classmates and now Be Kind Online – aim to change the culture of middle school to one of acceptance and inclusion.

This program is provided free of charge. All of the resources needed come digitally online including curriculum, presentations, videos and worksheets.
